REI?? What’s not to like about this store except it will perhaps take a few hours of your time as you search for something exciting to wear & look at everything like I do. Love the new items and huge variety this store has to offer. So colorful with a wide variety of clothing, camping, tents, backpacks, blankets, camp accessories, boots, coats, winter gear. They are now the lifestyle company for campers and more. Friendly staff who are knowledgeable about what they sell.

It was a windy day and I needed a couple kites to fly with my buds. Not only did I quickly find a nice selection of kites, but they were very reasonably priced and made of super high-quality materials. The folks in the store were friendly and welcoming. They made me want to spend a lot of time here! Will definitely be back.

We love this REI! Every time we have gone (which is more times than we would like to admit...) the staff has been nothing short of extraordinary. Everyone is super patient, passionate and informative. We had a little mishap with our orders/pick-ups which Jeanie/Ginny (sp?) patiently helped us sort after taking over the task from the manager. Jeanie/Ginny (sp?) also answered a couple other questions and was very informative, thorough and personable. Nothing but praises and appreciation for her! Feedback: We would really like to see more sustainable packaging for REI orders. Especially because some orders come in multiple shipments.

I love REI and have had no problem with the store itself. However, the past two times I have been here I have had awful customer service at the register. Both times (and two different people) I have felt like a nuisance and that they could care less about checking my items out. Its a shame because it is a great store, just an awful customer service experience that keeps continuing to happen.

Coolest REI shop experience with spacious design dispersed into two floors. You can find anything you could think of here at Lincoln Park location. They have fitting rooms at both floor. Street car parking is partially available.

The bike store staff is wonderful. I have a mountain bike but I recently moved to the city and was in the market for a hybrid bike. Test riding and getting the bike checked out was easy and made me feel great about my purchase. On the retail side, the staff has great recommendations and they are helpful with sizing shoes.

Every time I visit this location, everyone is always so friendly and helpful. Yesterday in particular; I was upstairs looking for a size medium long sleeve thermal/base layer shirt and couldn’t find any on the rack. I found & asked Maureen (young/bubbly and bright hair) and your system showed there was a few… after she took my name and let me keep browsing while she looked. She came up with something after about five or 10 minutes of searching. I really appreciate the time and effort she spent to assist me!

I have been a REI member for nearly 4 years and have enjoyed my visits to the store. That said, my last trip I cannot say the same.... I approached an employee who was on his phone in the middle of the store and asked if it was possible to order a coat that I did not see in my size/color. The employee was annoyed and rudely asked me if I had the app to order it on my own - I was sent downstairs to the cash register where I waited in line to speak with the next available cashier. After I had explained that they did not have the coat, and that there was only 1 coat left so I wanted it ordered as soon as possible she responded with’ “is there a reason you cannot order it on your own” and refused to order the coat. In the time it took me to get home, the coat was out of stock. I thought REI was a premium store that valued their customers, I must say this experience felt the complete opposite.
